Position Strategy: How to Win at Teen Patti with 5 Players

Where you sit in Teen Patti matters a lot! The last person to bet sees what everyone else does, which gives them a big advantage. Let's break down how to play in each position(take 5 players as example) :

Last Player (5th Position)

This is the best position, you get to see what everyone else does before make decision.

  • If others seem scared, raise with decent cards
  • Bluff once in a while when others look weak
  • Pay attention to who bets big and who plays safe
  • With average cards, just call if the pot is small

First Player

This is the toughest spot because you have no information of others.

  • Only play strong hands and fold the weak ones
  • Don't bluff much - it rarely works from this position, especially with pros!
  • With decent cards, just call to see what happens
  • Watch how others react to learn their style- and do this whatever position you are!

Second Player

Still tough, but you've seen one person's act, so you can be a little bit agressive.

  • Since you already put money in, decent cards are worth a call
  • If the first player bets small, you can call to see more cards
  • Think about if the pot is worth chasing
  • Save big bets for your strongest hands

Middle Player (3rd Position)

You've seen two players act, and there are two more after you.

  • You can play slightly weaker hands than in early positions
  • Try small raises when the first two players look weak
  • Be ready to fold if the players after you start raising
  • Bluff carefully - don't risk too much. But it worth bluffing if you feel the others are weak.

Fourth Player

Almost as good as being last - you've seen most players act.

  • You can play more hands here
  • If nobody has raised, take control with a bet. Especially with good hands!
  • Good position to bluff when earlier players keep folding
  • Watch the early players closely for clues about their cards

Quick Tips

  • Adjust to your opponents - some are aggressive, some passive
  • Don't make huge bets with average cards
  • Look for nervous habits that give away hand strength
  • Change your strategy based on your position each round

The later your position, the better! Players in positions 4 and 5 have more information and can be more aggressive. Early positions (1 and 2) should play carefully and fold more often. The middle position needs a mix of both styles. Pay attention to how others play, use your position wisely, and you'll start to win more and more!
